| Interesting Facts |
When car was purchased in May 2008, it
only had 3,500 miles on the odometer. Not bad for an eight year old
car!
Car was formerly owned and built by
Progressive Car Audio (Mission Valley store) as an Alpine Electronics demo car for their shop.
It spent most of its time at shows (including SEMA) and in the showroom of their El Cajon
store. I contacted them in 9/2008 to change out some audio components
and when they said (and I quote) "We are not going to work on the car
because the original builders are long gone" and "It will be too
difficult to work on the car", I did some homework and found
A&G Custom Motoring in East Los Angeles who have built many celebrity cars for
people like Snoop Dogg, Tito Ortiz (ultimate fighter), Oscar de la Hoya,
Xzibit, and Wayne Brady. They are now the only people that I will
trust to work on my car stereo! They had the stereo rebuilt in a day.
I have done many modifications since the
purchase of the car to enhance the performance and looks.
Car formerly had a set of 18" BF
Goodrich Scorcher T/A tires (discontinued) which produced blue smoke on
burnouts and different Konig wheels. Those were removed in August 2008
and replaced with the 18" Pirelli PZero Nero tires and Konig Sideways
wheels.
Car is a dedicated show car for the
rest of its life. My car has and never will be a daily driver. |
| Where is the car now? |
I sold the car in January 2009 to a US
marine stationed at MCAS Miramar here in San Diego. Not only am I
moving out of state soon but I am purchasing a Nissan 370 Z before I leave. |
