1/27/05 - A few days ago, I received a call as well as a letter in the mail from someone named Anthony F. who said that he purchased my old Toyota Tacoma from the person that I sold it to in 2000. Anthony said that he replaced the battery in the truck and went to use the radio but it said "Locked" on the display. He asked if I remembered what CD I used to set the anti theft lock on the Eclipse radio with and I said "I think that I used Eric Clapton's The Cream of Clapton CD". I told him not to purchase the CD as I still have it in my car. He came over this evening and we popped the Eric Clapton CD in the Eclipse radio and sure enough, it unlocked the radio! We both had a good laugh because neither one of us could believe that I actually remembered the CD that I used to set the lock on the radio with almost five years earlier. Thanks to Graham (second owner) and Anthony (current owner) for taking such good care of my old Toyota Tacoma! The truck is about six years old and has a little over 60k miles on the odometer. When I sold it to Graham in 2000, the truck had only 37k miles on the odometer. It looks as great today as it did when I originally owned it. The Toyota Tacoma still has the original "ORW" window decal on the front windshield and the "TRD" front license plate frame that I added almost five years ago. Some things never change and only get better with age!!!
